    The OEM tensioner is a week link and it one of the first things you need to replace when looking to upgrade your GT500. Quality product. Great service from Revan Racing as well.

    Thump, 90mm idlers + Gates Blue Belt

    Great products and great set up. Van recommended the Billet Pro 90mm idlers with the Thump Tensioner and the Gates Blue Belt for the combo. Great Fit, pretty easy install and NO slip now!

    easy install, 10x stronger than the weak OEM tensioner, gave me the extra half inch of slack I needed.

    This is an impressive piece when you hold it in your hand with the OEM unit next to it. No way are you going to break the Thump tensioner. as for the OEM I can't believe they don't break more often than they already do. I never knew how cheap and weak the OEM tensioner was until I got it off the car and into my hand. I recommend this piece to anyone with a Shelby, even with no mods this piece is worth buying. If you are modded with any kind of pulleys hyou need to upgrade the tensioner. The OEM tensioner appears to be made out of some type of pot metal and it really doen't look like it will stand up to the power these cars put down. Also the spring in the Thump is at least twice as stout as the OEM tensioner as well. The OEM one comes off pretty easy and when you go to turn on the Thump to put the belt on you immediately feel the extra resistance.

    The Thump Racing tensioner is exceptional in quality and craftsmanship. This combined with the Gates Green (HD) belt and Van's unparallelled customer service make this an excellent value and easy purchasing choice (for the win!).
