Product Overview
All EBC rotors are manufactured from OE specification grey cast iron, identical to that used in new car production, and many are BRITISH MADE entirely in our UK foundry. Presently, every single rotor sold in Europe and the UK is BRITISH MADE, and the majority of designs for the USA are also produced in Britain. Our British foundry is continually expanding its in-house tooled range. However, like any brake manufacturer, EBC sometimes needs to source some rotors from approved external suppliers to complete ranges for overseas markets. Unlike our competitors, who may not disclose the origin of their rotors, we at EBC share the global disappointment that cost pressures have eliminated all foundries in the USA that could supply these parts. Other brands may evade the question of origin, but when we procure rotors externally, they undergo rigorous specification, sampling, and testing for element analysis, grain structure, tensile strength, hardness, and optimal ductility. Each rotor is individually tested for runout on our in-house machine to ensure perfection.
